We seek solutions that can coherently transform parking areas into multifunctional hubs for urban warehousing, micro depots, secure bike and motorcycle parking, smart charging, analysis, energy storage, efficient fleet management, or other useful applications.

What is the actual idea behind urban hubs?

Urban Hubs are innovative urban spaces designed to facilitate smart mobility and optimize urban infrastructure by integrating various modes of transportation and services. They aim to enhance accessibility and sustainability in cities by promoting collaboration among local stakeholders, businesses, and residents.

Already today, urban hubs should connect different everyday experiences, ideally linking different services:

MOBILITY

Urban Hubs enable seamless intermodal and multimodal transportation options, including autonomous vehicles, car rentals, car and ride-sharing, and micromobility solutions like e-scooters and bikes. This integrated approach ensures that users have convenient access to diverse mobility services right where they need them, promoting sustainable and efficient urban transport.

ELECTRICITY

Urban Hubs provide connected charging services for electric vehicles (EVs), fleet operations, and micromobility solutions. These hubs includes e-vehicle rentals, charging infrastructure for fleets, photovoltaic systems for renewable energy generation. Moreover it should integrate charging options for micromobility vehicles, ensuring a comprehensive and sustainable electric mobility ecosystem.

LOCAL SUPPLY

Urban Hubs integrate community services through a combination of digital platforms and a dense network of physical infrastructure across Europe. This includes micro-maintenance services, 5G technology for enhanced connectivity, decentralized manufacturing, community and entertainment activities, and mobile health solutions, fostering vibrant and resilient local ecosystems.

LOGISTICS

Urban Hubs leverage city locations as fulfillment centers for city logistics, providing warehousing and distribution services. This includes lockers for secure deliveries, drone logistics for efficient transport, urban warehousing solutions, last-mile delivery services, grocery logistics, fleet parking, and storage spaces, streamlining urban supply chains and enhancing overall efficiency.
